Talent Show

Congratulations to the talent show participants. It was a fantastic show. We had a lot of classmates who came to see the talent, even though they weren't performing.

WKCE Results

Friday your child brought home his or her WKCE results. The format of sharing the results is the same, but the standards used to determine proficiency levels was adjusted this year. Wisconsin raised the bar on standards in order to prepare students to be ready for careers and college after high school graduation. These changes were made across the state not just in our district. Looking at the state percentile gives you a way to compare results from last year and this year.

If you have any questions about your child's results, please let me know. At next Monday's PTA meeting at 6:00 in the fieldhouse, Mrs. Gottinger will be discussing the changes with the standards. This is a great opportunity to hear more about the changes and have your questions answered.

Collaboration

As we began our new inquiry unit, Conflict in US History, we collaborated with a partner to learn new information about conflict in the colonies. Ask your child to share his or her new learning with you.
